How To Integrate Payoneer with Time Doctor & Pay your Employees

IMPORTANT: You'll only be able to create a Payoneer account if you'll be paying at least 10 employees through Payoneer. If you have less than 10 employees on payroll, this article isn't relevant to you - you'll need to use a different payment method. This article will help you to choose a payment method.

Also, we've added new integration with Payoneer, where you can send payments to your employees. They can also request payment from company owner or a client based on the hours.

The following article explains how to integrate Payoneer with Time Doctor so that you easily pay your employees using Payoneer based on hours tracked with Time Doctor.

If you're not already familiar with Time Doctor's Payroll feature, you may want to read the following introductory articles before setting up the Payoneer integration.

If you're trying to decide whether to use Payoneer to pay your employees, you may find this article helpful (scroll down to "Table 3").

Here are the steps to set up the Payoneer integration and start paying your employees with Payoneer:

1 - Create a Payoneer account if you don't already have one.

You can create a Payoneer account at http://go.payoneer.com/timedoctor-signup.html. (you'll need to have at least 10 employees on payroll to use Payoneer)

2 - Connect your Payoneer account to your Time Doctor account

First you'll need to contact Payoneer to get your API Password (this is not the same password that you use to log into your account on the Payoneer website).

To get your API Password, email integration@payoneer.com and be sure to let them know that:

  • You're a Time Doctor customer.
  • You need the API calls enabled for your Payoneer account.
  • You need to know your API Password.

Once you have your API Password, navigate to the Settings > Payroll Settings page in your Time Doctor account.
If you don't see Payroll Settings menu, please make sure that Payroll module is Enabled in Settings > Company Settings.

..and click the On/Off toggle for Payoneer and then submit the form that pops up:

Congratulations - you've integrated with Payoneer!

3 - Set up the employees that you'd like to pay with Payoneer

On your Payroll Settings page, you'll need to set up each employee to be paid through Payoneer. Start by setting their payment methods to "Payoneer":

Next click the appropriate button in the popup that appears, and follow the prompts:

4 - Pay your employees

To set up payroll periods and create payrolls either automatically or manually, follow the same procedure that you would for using any other payment method in Time Doctor (you can find that procedure explained in this video).

Once the payroll that you want to send payments for is created, you'll just need to download the CSV file that Time Doctor provides and then upload it to your Payoneer account to send the payments. Here's where you'll download the CSV file from:

Note that the CSV file that you export for Payoneer contains the first 5 columns explained in this file. Here's a screenshot to make it more clear what each column in the exported file represents:

To send the payments, log into your Payoneer account and go to "Payments" and then "Mass Payments" to upload the CSV file to send the payments:

And that's it!
