GitHub Time Tracking

GitHub Time Tracking

Discover which GitHub Issues and Repositories your team places most focus.

The Time Doctor Chrome extension will show you how much time you and your team spend on various GitHub issues and repositories.

For any date range you choose, Time Doctor will show you:

  • How each user is spending their time right now.
  • Time spent on a project by each user.
  • Total time worked across your company on each issue.

How it works

The Time Doctor integration with GitHub is easy to set up. Install the Time Doctor extension from the Chrome store and sign up for a free Time Doctor account. The Time Doctor start and stop timer buttons will automatically appear in all GitHub issues.

After integrating those two tools, you will know how much of the time spent by your employees on GitHub is wasted and what needs to be done to improve it.

websites and applications used while working on github tasks

Don't just track how long your team worked. Track what they were doing while working.

Time Doctor can track additional data to time worked on GitHub tasks. For example, Time Doctor can show you the websites and applications that each employee uses while working.

Time Doctor can also take screenshots of your employees repositories while they're working. This can be particularly useful when you have people working remotely and you can't stop by their desks to see what they're working on.

Supported on both Time Doctor 2 and Time Doctor Classic

Time Doctor’s chrome extension supporting GitHub integration is available on both Time Doctor Classic and Time Doctor 2.
